After I did in programming and needlework, the next one that I want to try is solder work. I and my friends solder the wires, inverter and switch together.

[PROJECT] Meeting III
After we do the first step of needlework. Aj. June set up meeting for divided the work due to the job. Everyone can select the interest work. Now I chose the needlework. Next Aj. June talk about the show at Singapore.

[PROJECT] Needlework
After we have meeting I&II, we do needlework. We use line to connect LEDs with costume. First time I did not know how to use line and needle with plastic costume. It was hard in first time but after I try and try, I found that It was not hard and fun to do it. From this work I learned before to do needlework. I need to planned the end of line because the wires must to be in same direction.

Meeting II Programimg
In meeting II, we divided into two teams; Hardware and Software. I am in Software team. From this I learned to use new library call “FastLED” which use to program LED strips. I test with arduino and lilypad. But I found that Lilypad is not support because Lilypad which I got it was Kit type. It has not data pins for program.

[PROJECT] Meeting I with P'Bow
In meeting I, we talked with P’Bow to select type of LEDs and how many of LEDs which we will use. It like to get all requirement from user from first step of User Center Design.

[REVIEW] Chang Theatre
See the performance like in your home
In this meeting Khun Pichet talk about light in term of artist that not only for lighting but it can show the meaning like on/off light mean day/night. Light to make a picture, light also can make you feeling like fade cross of light.
Next we talk about in one performance we have director, light designer and music designer. This three persons are very important for make one performance successfully.
Then, Khun Pichet lead to next topic about problem of dance performance in Thailand. In Thailand we do not have light designer that use technology combine with art. So Khun Pichet want to make audiences see the energy of dancer, the movement of muscle and have feeling in the tiredness of dancer(like breath). He want to make audience feel without any movement and to make feeling strongly than human can do.
Next, we see some of performance (2 acts) this has inspiration from "Naai Nai(นายใน) book". which tell about the life in King rama 6 and play performed by all female but in King rama 6, he change from female to be male. Khun Pichet interpret that the theatre can protect people from pressure of society and water bag in performance mean world.
After that we talk in detail about to action, dress and sensor. How to adapt and the process of each sensor.
Before we go back to KMUTT. We decide to have one meeting to see the cloth and try to put all LEDs on it.

[PROJECT] Progress II
We decided to change from LEU(Light Emotion Umbrella) to be LUMOS. We already coding the sample of pattern for show with umbrella(dim light, change colour and mix the colour.)

Physical Computing
Software must be soft
- Bridge the gap between physical and virtual.
- More or less in tangible user interface.
- Facilitate between human and computer (help people to connect with computer).
- Most of is object.
- Standalone objects (One object).
Hardware is hard
- Keep cost really low.
- Think about cost of multiple controllers.
- The few components, the better.
- Design base on daily life object.
- Focus on interface: easy to use, self understanding.
" Phidgets = no need to program hardware. It like set of building box. "Design pattern : in term of Software architecture is MVC and it should base on OOP.
Software must be soft
- Simple interface.
- Simple language.
- Big function/feature is not important
- Minor language elements are major stumbling blocks.
- Focus on interface.
" Physical energy ---------translate----------> electrical signal "
This call Transduction.
Input and Output
Input : ways of censoring your physical energy.
Output : Changing it but moving things are hard (you need electrical and mechanical skills)
Transducer : Processor in between
Microcontrollers : gateway between the physical and the virtual ex. arduino
What I have learned from this class?
I know that the physical computing is the link between the virtual world and real word that should has the translator like arduino or lilypad to help changing energy. And the characteristic of software and hardware that it should be like.

[PROJECT] Progress I : Light Emotion Umbrella
Yesterday, we went to Ban Mor for buy some tools Next step, we design to create the prototype of our project.
In the prototype, we use accelerometer to control the colour of LED strips. The changing of angle, the changing of colour.

[ASSIGNMENT 5] Apply Service Design to Project
First of all I gonna say that my project is group project name "Umbrella Corporation". We decided to do project with umbrella and LEDs Strips. Our project call "Light Emotion Umbrella" or "LEU". This project contain LEDs strips, transparent umbrella and humidity sensor. The LEU will light up whenever it rains. This gives a sense of an umbrella that is powered by the rain
The LEU can be useful when a person is walking in the rain at night because it can act as the source of light and make the person holding the umbrella visible to cars passing by. We are going to use humidity sensor to detect the rain

How to apply service design to this project?
Service design is the ways of thinking and the practical combine together and develop to service. We divided into 3 parts.
- Exploration : Explore and conclude the problem or the needs of user.The user is the most important part. When we create new things, we needs to think who is our target. That why we needs to do some survey. It seem like usability test or stakeholder map.
- Creation : After we do the survey, we are meeting and conclude that this project was interested by many people because the idea look interested to user that we can make design scenario like this;
- In rainy night, the LEDs will turn on automatically.
- The pattern of LEDs will change due to rainy.
- Implementation : We will creating prototype in soon.

The efficiency service design
It use in market principle call 7Ps
- Product : Which product you sell. It demand to market or not?
- Price : The suitable price for sell.
- Place : Right place for sell product and full fill the demand of customer.
- Promotion : The event that promote the product which customer can be fun with.
- People : Make a relation with customers.
- Process : Design the system for customer easy to use.
- Physical Evidence : Design the service point for the comfortable of customer.
What is Service Design?
The service design is the combination between idea and practical develop in service. To make me find the new dimension of creative think meet with the need of customers for solve the problem and full fill the long term in business. It can divide in 3 sections;
- Exploration : Research and analysis to understand the real problem lead to the design which meet the customer requirement.
Stakeholder Maps is a strategic business tool which identifies and assesses the effect of a different individual or a group of stakeholders on a company.
- Contextual Observation : See the use of customer.
- Shadowing : Jot the real detail of customer when use service.
- In-Depth Interview : Interview directly to customer to know the deep problem.
Conclusion
After we gathering the data. Next we take the data to conclude and analyse then divide into topic for design brief.

- Insights : Understanding in deeply
- Needs : The requirement of customer.
- Themes : The collection of data.
- Creation : Simulation the events start from the beginning to the end including the event that can cause the problem.

The good design come from the combination of reason and creation for make the service design that can answer all the requirement of customer and build the quality of business.
- Implementation : Test and develop all the idea that come from Creation step for make it real.
- Prototyping is an early sample, model or release of a product built to test a concept or process or to act as a thing to be replicated or learned from.
- Evaluate is a systematic determination of a subject's merit.
- Service Blueprint is an operational tool that describes the nature and the characteristics of the service interaction in enough detail to verify, implement and maintain it.The blueprint shows processes within the company, divided into different components which are separated by lines.
- Nowadays, the competitive in business is very high. The new way to help the business to grow is service design. To attract the customers for use the service again and again. This service design will help in long-term business.

Interaction Design is the relation between designed artifacts, the social, cultural and business. Content propose by the model as three vital, external interface. It is important to thinking in interaction design. It can leads us for long-term collaborations an exchange of people.

This similar to design practice. It use synthetic and proactive but it different in perspective which the artifacts is being constructed. Design exploration always excels in problem setting and transcendence.

Aesthetics is central concern for interaction design. It also concern whole interaction.
"Design studies"
Design studies closely resembles traditional academic disciplines. This like study of how designer work, think and carry out design activity or process designer use. It has analytical work for design studies; Design theory, Design methodology, Design history and Design philosophy. The design studies aim to describe and understand rather than create and change.
Moving in between activity areas
There are three concepts on tension and movement in model; Trajectory, Loop and Dimension.
